WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Proactive planning, analysis and tracking of brand performance for FMC portfolio against the plans, company target and highlighting areas of intervention/ opportunities
  • Working with the SPI team to generate deep diagnostics of our brand’s health by holistically integrating consumer, commercial and competitive indicators
  • Working closely with Brand Activation and Planning & Deployment teams to ensure the overall portfolio plans are well aligned
  • Translating the brand diagnostics & actionable insights to derive brand growth plans by collaborating and incorporating the below: 
  • Campaign development and brand positioning
  • FMC key focus areas- establishing key priorities across geographies and channels
  • Sustainable value growth- collaborating with the RGM team to establish AWAP brands’ pricing strategy and sweet spot in pricing across states, key cities, and channels
  • Trade team- work closely with the field team to understand nuances in geographies, pricing, channels, competitive threats etc and ultimately establishing a fit-for-purpose & tailored portfolio approach
  • Consumer experience and journey- Working closely with connection planners & P&D team to ensure high impact retail presence and D2C strategy
  • Understanding the IBPM process and key reporting/ forecasting needs of our brands to ensure timely reporting, with clear articulation of our brand performance and plans
  • Work with Director FMC Portfolio to support executive team in build business presentations for local and global senior stakeholders

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5 + years relevant corporate marketing experience
  • Proven expertise in marketing management fundamentals
  • Demonstrated track record of successful, innovative problem solving and leadership that resulted in market share gains and/or business improvement
  • Track record of innovation within marketing & communications: a strategic leader who takes initiative and ownership
  • Functional Area expertise and working understanding of the marketing process
  • Deep understanding of pricing in tobacco or other relevant category
  • Good understanding of Trade process and other departments in Marketing at RAI
  • Strong analytical thinker and ability to articulate strategy
  • Strong project management skills, communication, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, and have a strong time management skill to work under tight deadlines.
  • Driven to challenge status quo, ability to see things from multiple/new perspectives
  • Ability to deal with complex business problems with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Passion to learn, eager to develop new skills
  • Drive to operate in a fast-paced environment with stretch deliverables

BENEFICIAL

  • Experience working with regulated products and/or tobacco marketing regulations is preferred
  • Graduate Degree (MBA) and/ or prior brand marketing experience in CPG category is a plus
  • Deep understanding of pricing in tobacco or other relevant category

  • 401(k) plan that offers opportunity to save on pre- and post-tax basis up to 50 percent of eligible compensation.
