WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Working closely with various business teams for contracts drafting & negotiation support while adhering to all relevant legal requirements and internal policies, internal controls and SOP’s
- Conducting legal research on various topics and providing timely, efficient and effective advisory to various business functions
- Ensuring compliance with legal team protocols & SOP’s in day-to-day tasks and playing an active role in ensuring compliance by business functions
- Supporting business functions with 3rd party risk management queries arising under the Company’s various business ethics policies
- Effectively managing the Company’s trademarks portfolio in close partnership with business and external counsel(s), ensuring timely and adequate intellectual property protections for the Company’s product portfolio
- Supporting senior members of the Legal team in day to day tasks
- Supporting the senior litigation counsel in day-to-day litigation management and effective liaison with external counsels
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
Experience Required
- A minimum of 5 years legal experience; preferably trained at a law firm, followed by corporate in-house legal experience
- Bachelors of Laws (LL.B.); LLM/Bar beneficial
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Strong legal research and advisory skills
- Good foundational understanding of litigation procedures
- Corporate in-house experience preferred
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Drive to learn, excel and grow with a can-do attitude
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
- Hands-on experience using Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement methods (LEAN, TPM, Six Sigma, TQM).
- Exhibit a “can do” demeanour and be comfortable with multitasking and have a good understanding of time critical requirements.
- Possess high potential, strong technical and interpersonal skills.
