ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
This role supports the Commercial and Operation team with in-depth analysis of the different financial statements as well as support of reporting and consolidation. The person will be responsible to reconcile, analyze and generate insights to support business strategic discussions. The role is expected to support analysis decisions that may impact BAT’s profit. This position requires ability to multi-task, set priorities, and be able to work under time pressure as the person will be joining a fast-paced environment and a very dynamic team.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Report financial statements of different commercial and operations lines (P&L, B/S, and CF) and support with reporting consolidation, OTIF, as per IBPM calendar.
- Support monthly review meetings with analysis and insights by product category and identify risks and opportunities.
- Drive Zero base budget build-up with monthly review and updates when necessary and provide inputs for business cases and risk analysis.
- Maintain reporting dashboards to ensure accurate financial information and analysis are available to our business partners.
- Ensure ad-hoc requests are managed on time, respecting the set of priorities and business-as-usual (BAU) deliveries.
- Business partnering with Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams. Proactive, supporting/managing key stakeholders.
- Engage with stakeholders to promote commercial-driven discussions as well as execute process optimizations, improving business performance and helping identify initiatives that have a business focus and are commercially viable.
- Lead balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the completeness of controls are in place.
- Controls environment: Clear understanding of processes and procedures in place. Guarantee SOX controls are executed and maintained.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related areas.
- Financial modeling based on large database including BPC Embedded pulls and understanding the impact of the accounting process and practices.
- Understand how to process a manual Journal Entry (JVU) and be able to raise requests and experience with data analysis, finding common trends and deviations.
- Self-driven and Proactive with strong Business Partnering skills.
- Continuously improve yourself through training and development opportunities available.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and multi-tasking.
- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint is a must.
- Fluent in English –Advanced level.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related area
