PAKISTAN TOBACCO COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR A QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER
SENIORITY LEVEL: Non-management
FUNCTION: Operations
LOCATION: Akora Khattak, Pakistan
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Ensure the implementation of product and material innovation in alignment with global and regional strategies, maintaining compliance with BAT quality and legal standards.
- Manage proper specification, data management, and compliance for packed products, ensuring adherence to BAT requirements and legal regulations before production.
- Monitor product performance to optimize chemical and physical quality, manufacturing efficiency, and process improvements, including trials, data analysis, and capability reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by investigating process optimization opportunities, recommending enhancements, and ensuring adherence to product storage and crop protocols.
- Maintain and update data across databases, management information systems, and spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy for quality assurance and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with BAT-recommended sampling frequency, testing methodologies, and commercial quality standards while supporting internal and external audits.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong self-motivation, initiative, and leadership abilities, with decision-making and resource management skills to effectively lead a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and conflict management skills, with the ability to drive collaboration.
- Willingness to travel to leaf areas as needed.
- Solid understanding of quality systems, including ISO 9001/14001 and Statistical Process Control (SPC), with strong communication skills.
